Baseball Recap: Germantown Has No Trouble Against Cordova

Germantown's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Cordova Wolves as they made off with a 19-6 victory. The Red Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Gabriel Valles was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Leaks, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Germantown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. They are 8-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Germantown's record is now 8-9. As for Cordova, the defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 6-2.

Germantown has already played their next game, a 9-7 win against Whitehaven on the 17th. As for Cordova, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-11 draw against Kingsbury on the 17th.
