Softball Recap: Chula Vista Victorious

Chula Vista won the last time they faced Liberty Charter and things went their way on Friday too. Chula Vista walked away with a 4-1 victory over Liberty Charter. That's two games straight that the Spartans have won by exactly three runs.

Chula Vista is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. Liberty Charter is on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Chula Vista will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Canyon Hills at 4:00 p.m. on April 9. As for Liberty Charter, they will face off against Santa Fe Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
