Basketball Recap: Seymour Comes Up Short

Seymour and Floyd Central squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Seymour had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Floyd Central Highlanders and fell 63-21. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Highlanders are ranked 15th).

Seymour's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Floyd Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season.

Seymour does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Floyd Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 45-25 win against Bedford North Lawrence on the 8th.
