It's playoff time, and Sumner had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Rosepine Eagles on Wednesday as they made off with a 13-2 win. The Cowboys might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 26 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Sumner is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Rosepine, their loss dropped their record down to 16-14.

Coming up, Sumner will take on Parkview Baptist on Saturday. The Cowboys will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. Rosepine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
