San Mateo had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took their matchup on Monday with ease, bagging a 36-0 win over the Hillsdale Fighting Knights. The Bearcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Kayla Lichaa continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 145 yards and four TDs while completing 75% of her passes, and also rushing for 50 yards and one score. That's the most passing touchdowns she has posted since back in September. Zoe Lichaa was Kayla's top target, picking up 75 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

San Mateo didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Addison Busse, Destina Zhou, and Lichaa picked up one apiece. Amaya Butler was another major factor on D, picking up three sacks and making five total tackles.

San Mateo is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.6 points on average over those games. As for Hillsdale, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8.

As of now, neither San Mateo nor the Fighting Knights have any future games scheduled.
