Recap: Freeman Scotties vs. Liberty Lancers
The Freeman Scotties scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 70-45 margin over Liberty. Considering Freeman has won three matchups by more than 24 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Freeman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Colton Wells, who scored 21 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Wells has scored at least 25% of Freeman's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Grant, who scored 17 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Freeman and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freeman will finish 2023 at home by hosting Logos at 5:00 p.m. on December 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Logos is ranked 35th in Idaho, while Freeman is ranked 27th in Washington). Liberty won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Colfax at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Colfax knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Liberty likes a good challenge.
