Basketball Recap: Larimore Drops Season-High Score on Langdon

Larimore's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took down the Langdon Cardinals 68-51. The Polar Bears' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Larimore's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Baron Burns, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 19 points in addition to eight assists and five steals. Those eight assists gave Burns a new career-high. Jace Collison was another key player, going 7 of 12 en route to 20 points.

Burns wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Larimore was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Larimore has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Langdon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Larimore has already played their next game, a 70-60 loss against Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg on the 14th. Langdon has also already played their next contest (against Park River), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
