Covington gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 51-0 victory over the Tri-County Cavaliers. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Covington got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Beau Bishop out in front who rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns. Those 128 rushing yards gave Bishop a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was AJ Asbury, who rushed for 109 yards and one TD on only five carries.
