Volleyball Recap: King's Academy Gets the Win

King's Academy posted their closest victory since April 12th on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the MacDonald Condor, sneaking past 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Condor on April 9th, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was King's Academy who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-22, 20-25, 25-23, 19-25, 15-11.

Trey Sherman paced King's Academy's offense, picking up 26 kills. Sherman got some help from Andronico Netto and his 27 assists. Finally, Kevin Zhang kept King's Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

The win made it two in a row for King's Academy and bumps their season record up to 8-15. As for MacDonald, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

King's Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Condor: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
