Wheatland had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Colfax Falcons. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Falcons back in January, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Omar Raya and Tanner Scott scored both of Wheatland's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 37 goals.

Wheatland's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Colfax, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Wheatland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Colfax, they have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Amador on the 14th.
