After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Smithville, Excelsior Springs was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Central Indians. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since May 14, 2024.

Excelsior Springs' win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-7. As for Central, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Excelsior Springs is taking a road trip to challenge Oak Park at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Central, they will be playing at home against Kearney at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
