Volleyball Recap: St. John Bosco Takes a Loss

St. John Bosco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Orange Lutheran Lancers. The Braves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lancers earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

While St. John Bosco ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 20-25, 25-20, 25-19.

Orange Lutheran found their leader in freshman Max Lopez, who had 21 assists and five digs.

St. John Bosco's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Orange Lutheran, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 14-9.

St. John Bosco has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Downey on the 4th. As for Orange Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Savanna on the 5th.
