Carolina Forest extended their winning streak to nine games thanks to a huge performance from JJ Gray. The Carolina Forest Panthers greeted the New Year with with a 63-48 win over the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers thanks in part to Gray, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 25 points and four steals. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Legion Collegiate Academy lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jacob Siuta, who posted 13 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Cottman, who had 11 points.

Carolina Forest's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Carolina Forest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-67 loss against Christ Church Episcopal on the 3rd. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-62 win against San Jose Prep on the 3rd.
