Soccer Game Preview: Ellison vs. Waco

Ellison is 1-9 against Waco since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Ellison Eagles will head out to challenge the Waco Lions at 7:15 p.m.

On Friday, Ellison came up short against Belton and fell 4-2.

Meanwhile, Waco came tearing into Friday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.7 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Trojans 4-1. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won six contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Waco's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 33 goals over those seven games. As for Ellison, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Ellison suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Waco when the teams last played two weeks ago. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Ellison was down 3-0.
