Baseball Recap: Homer Trojans vs. Napoleon Pirates
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Maple Valley, Homer was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Napoleon Pirates by a score of 7-2.

Zak Smith was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits. He is becoming a predictor of Homer's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't). Smith was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, Brock Butler was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Xander Dubois, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
