Canton will head out on the road to challenge Williamson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Canton took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Bucktail, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Canton came out on top in a nail-biter against Bucktail on Friday, sneaking past 13-11.

Addi Pepper was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, five stolen bases, and four runs. What's more, she posted four RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jaylee Ward, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple.

Meanwhile, Williamson gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out Line Mountain 3-1.

Kenna Thomas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kaegen Short, who scored a run while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Joelie Stephens, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Williamson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Line Mountain only managed five hits.

Canton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Williamson, their record now sits at 4-1.
