Farmville Central came tearing into Monday's game with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars 3-0. The Jaguars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-21, 25-7.

Madison Denham paced Farmville Central's offense, picking up 13 kills. Denham got some help from Isabella Cox and her 22 assists. Cox was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Farmville Central's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for SouthWest Edgecombe, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Farmville Central will venture away from home to challenge North Pitt at 6:00 p.m. on September 2. As for SouthWest Edgecombe, they will head out to take on North Lenoir at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will give the Cougars their first taste of in-conference action this season.
