Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake Station Edison). They put the hurt on the Calumet New Tech Warriors with a sharp 30-6 victory on Monday. The Fighting Eagles have beaten the Warriors the last nine times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warriors has come to flipping the script.

The team relied heavily on Aaliyah Alderson, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with nine stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those RBI were her first of the season. Alexis Vaughan was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with seven stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Lake Station Edison was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Lake Station Edison's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Calumet New Tech, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Lake Station Edison will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
