After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Monona Grove, Baraboo was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 63-49 win over the Tomah Timberwolves. With that victory, the Thunderbirds brought their scoring average up to 52 points per game.

Baraboo's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taylor Sperl, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards. Sperl also put up a block, which was her first of the season. Maddison Litscher was another key player, putting up 22 points and eight rebounds.

Baraboo smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. They are a perfect 3-0 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Tomah's loss came despite strong showings from Brielle Plueger and Avery Brohmer. Plueger posted 23 points and six boards, while Brohmer put up ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That was a full 46.9% of the Timberwolves' points, marking the third time in a row Plueger has scored more than a third of the team's points.

The win got Baraboo back to even at 3-3. As for Tomah, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Baraboo is taking a road trip to challenge DeForest at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tomah, they will be home for the holidays to greet La Crosse Logan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Timberwolves their first taste of in-conference action this season.
