Basketball Recap: Gray-New Gloucester Comes Up Short

Gray-New Gloucester was the 82-51 winner over Brunswick when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Gray-New Gloucester Patriots received a blow on Thursday as they fell 57-43 to the Brunswick Dragons. The contest marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Gray-New Gloucester's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Brunswick, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-1.

Gray-New Gloucester will be home for the holidays to greet Marshwood at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Marshwood will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Gray-New Gloucester surely won't give up without a fight. As for Brunswick, they will head out to take on Skowhegan at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Brunswick has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
