The Olmsted Falls Bulldogs will face off against the Midview Middies at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Olmsted Falls is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Olmsted Falls' usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Wednesday's struggle, when Berea-Midpark hitters got past them. The Bulldogs fell 10-6 to the Titans on Wednesday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

MOLLY SHEEHAN put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 16 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and eight unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

SHEEHAN wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was ASHLEY SCOTT, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI. Another was SYDNEY BUSSER, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midview). They put the hurt on Elyria with a sharp 14-5 win on Wednesday. The Middies haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Like Olmsted Falls, Midview also got a great game from a two-way player: Savannah Holcomb. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). Those hits marked the first that Holcomb allowed this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Liv Keenan and Nina Ballachino did most of the damage at the plate: Keenan went a perfect 5-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Ballachino went 4-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
