Soccer Game Preview: Washington County vs. Lincoln County

The Washington County Golden Hawks will take on the Lincoln County Red Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Washington County's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Washington County's offense. They came up short against Academy for Classical Education on Tuesday, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Washington County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 366th, while Academy for Classical Education are ranked 49th).

Meanwhile, Lincoln County managed to keep up with Lake Oconee Academy until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Red Devils lost 4-1 to the Titans. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, Lincoln County couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lincoln County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Washington County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
