It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Fatima had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Holden Eagles as they made off with a 12-3 victory. Considering the Comets have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the sixth in a row for Fatima, bringing their record up to 20-14. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Holden, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 17-11 record.

Looking ahead, Fatima will face off against Fair Grove at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Comets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Holden, they will square off against Portageville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
