Fairmont is 9-1 against Northmont since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Fairmont Firebirds will host the Northmont Thunderbolts at 7:30 p.m.

Fairmont easily dispatched Belmont on Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Fairmont fell just short of Fairfield by a score of 33-31 on Tuesday. The match marked the Firebirds' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northmont). They breezed by Sidney to the tune of 74-33 on Tuesday.

Northmont has also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Fairmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Fairmont took their win against Northmont when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 58-33. Does Fairmont have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northmont turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
