Football Recap: Putnam Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Putnam lost against Parkrose back in September of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Kingsmen took a blow against the Broncos, falling 54-7.

Nolan Edwards threw for 60 yards on six of 11 attempts.

Parkrose's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tranden Stricker, who threw for 121 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 88.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 47 yards and one score. Another back making a difference was Kavion Combs, who rushed for 50 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Putnam's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Parkrose, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Putnam is set to take on their familiar foe Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Parkrose will challenge rival Hood River Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
