Soccer Game Preview: Lely vs. Estero

Lely hasn't had much luck against Estero recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Lely Trojans will take on the Estero Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Lely is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Bonita Springs a 5-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

They hit Bonita Springs with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Stassy Edouard (2), Kimberly Duron, Jenna Andrae, and Aoife Bowe.

Meanwhile, Estero entered their tilt with Lely last Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Everything went their way against the Trojans as they made off with a 4-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Lely has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those five matches. As for Estero, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3-1.

Lely suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Estero in their previous matchup last Thursday. Can Lely avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
