Charlevoix has gone 8-0 against Cheboygan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Charlevoix Rayders will challenge the Cheboygan Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. Cheboygan took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Charlevoix, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Charlevoix got the win against Kalkaska by a conclusive 59-39. Given the Rayders' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 169th, while the Blazers are ranked 478th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Cheboygan suffered their biggest loss since February 23, 2024 on Tuesday. They took a blow against Harbor Springs, falling 72-45. The Chiefs have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Charlevoix has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Cheboygan, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Everything went Charlevoix's way against Cheboygan in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as Charlevoix made off with a 62-37 win. Does Charlevoix have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cheboygan turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
