Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne Snider Comes Up Short

Fort Wayne Snider lost against South Adams back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Panthers fell just short of the Starfires by a score of 3-2. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Fort Wayne Snider took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 26-28, 25-27, 25-15, 15-13.

Oriana Smiley paced Fort Wayne Snider's offense, picking up 14 kills. Smiley got some help from Lindsay Gonzalez and her 45 assists.

Leading South Adams to victory were Laney Trausch and Charlee Bollenbacher. Trausch had 22 assists and four digs, while Bollenbacher had eight digs and one assist. With that strong performance, Trausch is now averaging an impressive 12.1 assists per game.

Fort Wayne Snider's defeat dropped their record down to 13-18. As for South Adams, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-8.

Fort Wayne Snider has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Fort Wayne Bishop Luers on the 7th. As for South Adams, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Union City on the 7th.
