Indianapolis Shortridge is a perfect 7-0 against Purdue Polytechnic since October of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. The last three games Indianapolis Shortridge has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Monday, Indianapolis Shortridge didn't have quite enough to beat Decatur Central and fell 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost three in a row.

Indianapolis Shortridge took Decatur Central into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-9, 25-23, 23-25, 16-14.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Purdue Polytechnic, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Indianapolis Arsenal Technical 3-0 on Thursday. The Techies haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-11, 25-21.

Purdue Polytechnic's win bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

Indianapolis Shortridge skirted past Purdue Polytechnic 3-2 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
