Softball Recap: Four Straight Home Victories for Westview

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Westview and Milan, and Westview kept the tradition alive. The Chargers were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Bulldogs on Wednesday. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

The result came thanks to McCall Sims's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lakyn Rogers, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Annelise Hayden, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.

Westview's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 6.5 runs. As for Milan, their loss dropped their record down to 24-11.

As of now, neither Westview nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
