Soccer Game Preview: Lawrence County vs. Central Magnet

The Lawrence County Wildcats will square off against Central Magnet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawrence County will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Lawrence County proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by six) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Columbia Academy, sneaking past 2-1.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Magnet). They never let Providence Christian Academy get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory last Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what Central Magnet needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

They hit Providence Christian Academy with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Miles Ritter (2), Evan Lee, Will Clark, and Jacob Gardner.

Central Magnet is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four contests. As for Lawrence County, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
