Football Recap: Pickerington North Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Pickerington North kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 24-0 to the St. Edward Eagles. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 28-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Even if they lost, Pickerington North's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Leading the way was Elijah Durham-Smith with two. Another thorn in St. Edward's side was Demetrius Curtis, who forced one fumble and made seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Coming up, Pickerington North will venture away from home to face off against St. Ignatius at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Edward, they will welcome Delbarton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
