Hutchinson had to endure a five-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Great Bend Panthers by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Salthawks were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Panthers, so the Salthawks were just returning the favor.

While Hutchinson won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-13.

Hutchinson's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Great Bend, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 9-5 record.

Hutchinson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Goddard on the 25th. As for Great Bend, they will take on Washburn Rural in a tournament on Saturday.
