Grandview Heights had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Wednesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Bexley Lions. That's more bragging rights for the Bobcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Michael Greer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Beckett Joubert was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Zach Loy, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Grandview Heights pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Bexley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7-1.

Looking ahead, Grandview Heights will head out on the road to square off against Northmor at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Bexley will be paying especially close attention to the Bobcats' game: after the Bobcats face off against the Golden Knights, they'll take on Bexley again at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
