Volleyball Recap: Appleton North Comes Up Short

Appleton North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Wisconsin Lutheran Vikings. The Lightning were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2021.

Josephine Brozek paced Appleton North's offense, picking up five kills. Brozek got some help from Lydia Koshuta and her six assists.

Wisconsin Lutheran found their leader in sophomore Addy Abramowski, who had 11 digs and two aces.

Appleton North's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Wisconsin Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 17-7.

Appleton North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Sheboygan Falls on the 20th. As for Wisconsin Lutheran, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Westosha Central on the 20th.
