Baseball Recap: Scripps Ranch Takes a Loss

Scripps Ranch was the 3-2 winner over Mt. Carmel when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Scripps Ranch took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mt. Carmel on Thursday. The Falcons' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Scripps Ranch saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Sitton, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. That run was Sitton's first of the season.

Scripps Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Mt. Carmel, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scripps Ranch will be taking part in a tournament against Desert Oasis at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mt. Carmel, they will take on Classical Academy in a tournament on Friday.
