Soccer Recap: Wenonah Takes a Loss

Wenonah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 4-1 to the Hueytown Golden Gophers. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Wenonah struggled afterwards.

Their goal came courtesy of Allison Ruiz, who's now up to two this season.

Wenonah's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Hueytown, they moved to 3-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Wenonah and Hueytown will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time Wenonah sees the pitch they'll take on Holy Family Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on April 1. As for Hueytown, their break will end when they face McAdory at 5:00 p.m. on April 1.
