Basketball Recap: Tranquillity Comes Up Short

Tranquillity lost against Dos Palos back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tranquillity Tigers took a blow against the Dos Palos Broncos, falling 62-33. The Tigers were down 49-28 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Jacquez Jones continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Dos Palos, putting up 28 points. Jones' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Santiago Olivo, who posted ten points.

Tranquillity's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Dos Palos, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-15.

Tranquillity will square off against Coalinga at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Coalinga has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Dos Palos has already played their next game (against Firebaugh), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
