Houston extends road winning streak to three

Recap: Houston Hilltoppers vs. Bruce Trojans

The Houston Hilltoppers can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against Bruce by a score of 62-54. The win was just what Houston needed coming off of a 81-52 loss in their prior match.

When it comes to explaining why Bruce lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dannon Campbell. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with 4 steals. Campbell scored a full 35.2% of Bruce's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ankavious Glass, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The last time Houston lost on the road was back back in November. Having now won three straight away games, they've pushed their record up to 1-6. As for Bruce, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Houston won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Calhoun City at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Calhoun City presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Houston in Mississippi (Calhoun City is ranked 59th, while Houston is ranked 258th). As for Bruce, they will head out on the road to face off against Potts Camp at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
