The Lake Oswego Lakers will square off against the Sprague Olympians on Friday. Lake Oswego's defense has only allowed 12.7 points per game this season, so Sprague's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Lake Oswego is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oregon's top teams: Lakeridge, who was ranked eighth at the time (Lake Oswego was ranked second). The Lakers put the hurt on the Pacers with a sharp 35-14 win on Thursday. Considering the Lakers have won eight games by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

LaMarcus Bell went supernova, rushing for 151 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Kurland, who rushed for 76 yards and one touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lake Oswego was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 331 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, while Sprague put up some points on Friday, the same can't be said for Sheldon. The Olympians strolled past the Irish with points to spare, taking the game 14-0. With that victory, the Olympians brought their scoring average up to 27.6 points per game.
Lake Oswego better focus on containing Carter Lovell and Paul Herb as the pair were huge in Sprague's win. Lovell rushed for 96 yards and one TD on only seven carries, while Herb rushed for 88 yards and one score. Lovell got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 52 yards.
One reason for the win was Sprague's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Bohdi Jones. Those three sacks set a new season-high mark for him.
The win made it two in a row for Lake Oswego and bumps their season record up to 8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.5 points over those games. As for Sprague, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
