Basketball Game Preview: Stockdale Mustangs vs. Frontier Titans

Stockdale and Frontier are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Stockdale Mustangs will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Frontier Titans at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Friday, Stockdale came up short against Roosevelt and fell 62-55.

Meanwhile, Frontier unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Bakersfield Christian and fell 78-44. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 455th, while the Eagles are ranked 179th).

Stockdale's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Frontier, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Stockdale came up short against Frontier in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 55-45. Can Stockdale avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
