Baseball Recap: Bolivar Comes Up Short

Bolivar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the Nevada Tigers. The Liberators were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Garretson Cook made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradyn Long, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Bolivar's record is now 9-3. As for Nevada, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Looking ahead, Bolivar will take on Warrensburg at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nevada, they will face off against Mt. Vernon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers are facing the Mountaineers at the right time seeing as the Mountaineers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
