Preview: Randolph Rockets vs. Crivitz Wolverines
The Randolph Rockets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Crivitz Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Randolph will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
Last Thursday, Randolph didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Lourdes, but they still walked away with a 30-24 win.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Randolph to victory, but perhaps none more so than Karter Meredith, who rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns. Meredith is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Jacob Kile was another key contributor, rushing for 52 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Crivitz was the victim of a rough 36-14 defeat at the hands of Oconto Falls on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Crivitz can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 249th, while Oconto Falls is ranked 95th).
Randolph is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Crivitz, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4.
