Recap: Quincy Orioles vs. Union City Chargers
The Quincy Orioles had to endure a 13-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Union City 61-33 at home. Quincy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Quincy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alyssa McCavit, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McCavit has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendyl Musielewicz, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Quincy's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-8. As for Union City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-9.
Quincy will head out on the road to face off against Springport at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Springport's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Quincy has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road. Union City will take on Concord at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Concord presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Union City in Michigan (Concord is ranked 267th, while Union City is ranked 587th).
