Pacheco has gone 8-2 against Ceres recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Panthers will challenge the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Pacheco will be strutting in after a win while Ceres will be coming in after a defeat.

On Wednesday, Pacheco was able to grind out a solid victory over Johansen, taking the game 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Pacheco had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-23.

Among those leading the charge was Graciela Welker, who had seven digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September.

Welker wasn't the only good servers: Pacheco was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 25 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Ceres unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to Lathrop. Considering the last time the Bulldogs couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

While Ceres was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Lathrop's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-20.

Ceres' loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Pacheco, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.

Pacheco came out on top in a nail-biter against Ceres in their previous meeting back in September, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
