A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Betsy Layne Bobcats challenge the Floyd Central Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday... One thing working in Betsy Layne's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Betsy Layne took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 70-58 win over Knott County Central.

Meanwhile, Floyd Central was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 77-73 to Shelby Valley. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Floyd Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Betsy Layne, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6.

Betsy Layne came out on top in a nail-biter against Floyd Central when the teams last played back in December of 2024, sneaking past 80-77. The rematch might be a little tougher for Betsy Layne since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
