Football Game Preview: Crean Lutheran Saints vs. Leuzinger Olympians + Official Tickets

Crean Lutheran has won nine straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Leuzinger has won nine straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Saints will challenge the Olympians at 7:00 p.m. Crean Lutheran knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Leuzinger likes a good challenge.

Crean Lutheran had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 43-point drubbing they dealt Laguna Hills on Thursday. The Saints simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Hawks 50-7. With the Saints ahead 35-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Caden Jones continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 245 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Ty Johnson was in the mix as well, providing Crean Lutheran with two scores.

Meanwhile, Leuzinger humbled Lawndale with a 45-10 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Olympians' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Cardinals are ranked 358th).

Crean Lutheran better keep an eye on Kelton Strickland. He was instrumental in Leuzinger's win, rushing for 203 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries. Those 203 rushing yards gave Strickland a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Albert Kupu, who threw for 175 yards and two touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes.

Crean Lutheran's record now sits at 10-0. As for Leuzinger, their record is now 8-1.
