Volleyball Recap: River Bluff Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

River Bluff had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the James Island Trojans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Gators also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2023.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 24-26, 27-25, 17-15.

Peyton Capps paced River Bluff's offense, picking up 15 kills. Capps got some help from Alexis Jodie and her 33 assists. Caroline Tucker controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

River Bluff's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for James Island, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

River Bluff didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Wando on the 30th. As for James Island, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against St. Joseph's Catholic on the 30th.
