Football Game Preview: Wilson Area Warriors vs. Palisades Pirates

Wilson Area is 2-8 against Palisades since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Warriors will square off against the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Wilson Area has given up an average of 34.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wilson Area's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Pottsville on Saturday. They were outmatched by the Crimson Tide and fell 35-0.

Meanwhile, Palisades came up short against Notre Dame-Green Pond on Friday and fell 34-22. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while the Crusaders are ranked 64th).

Wilson Area's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Palisades, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Wilson Area suffered a grim 28-6 defeat to Palisades in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
