Everything went their way against the Van Buren County Eagles on Thursday as the Campbell County Cougars made off with a 12-1 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jake Lawson tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

At the plate, Cooper McQuitty and Eli Lawson did most of the damage at the plate: McQuitty scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Eli scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
